The global need for a Humanitarian Daily Ration is very alive today and is in its highest demand in centuries.

War has now developed at a rapid pace in Ukraine, the largest European conflict since WW2. Refugees are fleeing by the millions with little or no supplies. Countries need solutions that are inexpensive yet deliver proper nutritional values to support those in need. FSG is that solution.

In addition to the war in Ukraine, the United Nations and the UNDP released an Urgent Action Message for Afghanistan on November 22, 2021. The warning is that the collapse of banks, low cash liquidity and the possibility of a total collapse of infrastructure will leave the population without means to sustain themselves. The abrupt withdrawal of most foreign support has sent the country into a freefall. This in combination with the upcoming winter season is a recipe for disaster for the citizens to sustain themselves.

Even if the US or other countries help with monetary funds to help infuse and prop up the Afghanistan government, it will not have an immediate impact and may take decades to truly rebuild. Last year Afghanistan imported nearly $7 billion worth of food goods. Without a banking system in place under the new Taliban rule and nearly zero trade coming into the country, famine on a massive scale is a reality if there is not a solution put in place.

We at FSG and our partners believe we are that solution not just for the refugees from Ukraine, but Afghanistan, Somalia and the rest of the impoverished countries of the World!

GLOBAL FACTS

Excluding the new war in Ukraine, there was a steadily declining rate for a decade. Now, world hunger is on the rise, affecting 9.9 percent of people globally. That is a total of 782.1 million people that are malnourished or starving!

From 2019 to 2020, the number of undernourished people grew by as many as 161 million, a crisis driven largely by conflict, climate change, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Now two years into the pandemic, and global conflicts on the rise, the number will increase again for 2022.
